1. Log in to the Kenyt dashboard, click on the left-hand panel, and select the Campaigns option.
2. Select Message template and click on + Template
3. Add the details below:
A. Template Type – For running a WhatsApp campaign, select “WhatsApp” as the Template type
B. Template Name – Give a template name (do not use unique characters also, do not use spaces for spacing; we can use underscore)
C. Template Group – Create a template group (any name can be given to the group)
D. Click on Compose message.
4. Select the message header type depending on the message content.
- • If it is only a text message, then select Text.
- • If the message content has an image, then select Image.
- • If the message content has a video, select the Video.
- • If the message content has any document, select File.
- • If the message content is of carousel type, then select Carousel.
TEXT MESSAGE TEMPLATE
MESSAGE TEMPLATE WITH IMAGE
To add an image to the message template, select Image, then Upload Media. The upload image file should not exceed 2 MB.
MESSAGE TEMPLATE WITH VIDEO
Select Video to add a video to the message template, then Upload Media. The upload video file should not exceed 14 MB.
5. Draft your message in the message body section (character limit is 1024; also, do not use double spacing between two lines)
To add variables in the message body, select Add Variables.
For Example, click Name from the list of Variables to send a message with the receiver name.
6. For the CTA button, you have the following options:
1. Quick Reply—Any responses/messages that need to be triggered can be fed (E.g., “Interested/Not Interested/Unsubscribe/Stop”).
2. Phone-
- • Phone Button Text, E.g. Call Us, Contact Us, Book an Appointment
- • Provide the number in the Phone number tab along with the country code without any spaces in between, for example (+918888888888)
3. URL
- • URL Button Text, E.g. Visit Website, Visit Us, To Know More
- • Add the URL in the URL tab.
PLEASE NOTE:
- • For Quick Reply – Can’t add more than 10 Buttons
- • For Phone – Can’t add more than 1 Phone Buttons
- • For URL – Can’t add more than 2 URL Buttons
7. Click Save as Draft and then Send for WhatsApp approval.
8. Select the message category “Marketing” and click submit for WhatsApp approval.
9. Once the template is approved by the provider, open it and click on approve so that the admin can also approve it.
